Always bridesmaids. Well, at least the time of these (26) Type I photographs, members of the Brooklyn Dodgers were seemingly annual October participants with only repeated setbacks at the hands of the hated Yankees to show for their year-long efforts. The vintage photos measure 8 x 10-1/4" are portray single-subject greats such as Hodges, Reese, J. Robinson and Snider. The majority date to 1951 (which ended in considerable heartbreak before the World Series) and were likely captured by a team photographer. More on our website.

The black-and-white photos show wondrous preservation with glossy and crease-free surfaces for the most part. There are handwritten or typewritten identifiers on the reverse of many. Minimal evidence of handling is consistent with photos of this era and their subsequent newsroom layout/publication. The complete list includes:
