Description

Plucked in the opening round of the 1994 draft, Georgia Tech product Nomar Garciaparra enjoyed a seamless transition from the minors to the bigs, launching a home run for his first Major League hit in 1996. This Boston Red Sox home jersey was worn by “Nomah” during his 1996 debut campaign. The white knit button-down garment features “RED SOX” arched across the chest in red-on-blue twill and “5” sewn to the back in like fashion. Red piping lines the collar and button path. On the tapered left front tail, a “Russell Athletic” size “46” label is accompanied by a “1996” tag and a flap tag denoting “2” EXTRA LENGTH.” All original and unaltered, the Fenway apparel shows light wear. Full photo LOA from Dave Miedema.
