With his fourth big league suitor in 2007, Alfonso Soriano adapted well to the friendly confines of Wrigley Field. As he launched 12 of his 33 circuit clouts to lead off games that year, Soriano used and signed this SAM (33.4-oz/35”) “AS12” block-letter model bat. The Maple lumber shows heavy use with a lengthy handle crack and has been graded PSA/DNA GU 9.5. On the barrel, Soriano has signed in black marker (“9” strength) and inscribed “12.” Full photo LOA from PSA/DNA. More on our website.
Use characteristics include ball, bat-rack and stitch marks throughout, as well as transposed OML ball stampings. On the handle’s upper portion, a thick coat of Mota Stick surrounds the manufacturer’s Chiropteran-themed logo. On the handle, a layer of athletic tape obscures a lengthy crack. The PSA/DNA LOA covers the authenticity of the bat only. There is no third party authentication for the autograph, but it is presumed authentic.
