As they became the first club since the 1970 Cincinnati Reds to host a World Series game in the first year at a new stadium, the 2006 St. Louis Cardinals christened their venue in winning fashion, taking three straight from Detroit to win the franchise’s first title in 24 years. Encapsulated and Graded GEM MT 10 by PSA, this full ticket was issued at the new Busch Stadium for Game 3 of the 2006 Fall Classic, the first-ever World Series game played at the newly erected structure. One of just eight at its lofty tier, this “Scoreboard Patio” voucher features printed seating/event details, as well as team and event logos. Cardinals hurler Chris Carpenter yielded just three hits over eight innings that night in a 5-0 triumph that gave the hosts a two games-to-one advantage. St. Louis would win Games 4 and 5 to close out the series and become the only franchise besides the New York Yankees to have at least 10 World Series championships.
