Description



Find a wide variety of vintage U.S. coins, with this 1820s-1960s treasure chest assortment. This far reaching collection covers a lot of ground, with many different types represented, including (20) large cents, a Lincoln cent near run and (25) silver coins. 


Featured are: 


Coronet Head large cents (9) with: 1822 environmental damage, GD details; 1824 (AG), 1831 (AG), 1832 cracked over the "2" in the date, GD details; 1833 bent with a gash at left, AG+ details; 1835 partial date (AG+), 1838 (GD+), 1839 multiple gashes across the head and rim at right, GD details and (1) with date worn smooth (PR); 


Braided Hair large cents (11) with: 1839 partial date (FR), 1844 partially plugged hole at 12 o'clock GD+ details; 1845 corrosion, GD details; 1846 (GD), 1846 cleaned, FN details; 1846 rim damage on the reverse, GD details; 1848 plugged hole, GD+ details; 1851 (VG), 1852 rim dings and a small gouge over the "5" in the date FN-VF details; 1853 environmental damage FN details and 1856 light environmental damage FN+ details; 


Lincoln cent 1909-1969 near run (158/162) with 1909-1940 dates housed in Whitman album and the 1941-1969 coins housed in a Whitman folder. The majority range (GD to XF), though (24) of the later date coins rate as average (AU to BU). (1) Key coin is included, with a 1931-S (VF). Semi-Keys are: 1909-VDB (XF), 1909 (FN+), 1922-D (GD), 1924-D (GD), and the coins dating from the 1910s average (GD). (2) 1943 Steel cents appear to be re-plated, with 1943 and 1943-S. The (4) absent coins are: 1909-S VDB, 1909-S, 1914-D and 1922 No D;


Lincoln Wheat cents in individual coin huggers (14) range (XF to BU) unless noted, with: 1909, 1931, 1934, 1935, 1935-S (VG), 1938, 1939, 1940, 1941, 1944, 1944-D, 1945, 1946 and 1947; 


Lincoln Wheat cent 1909-1940 partial run of (68/89) is housed in a Whitman folder. Condition ranges (GD to FN). Semi-Keys are: 1909-VDB, 1909, 1911-D, 1914-S and 1922-D. 


Three cent nickels (1) with: 1865 (GD); 


Jefferson nickels (9) range (VF to BU) with: 1938 (X2), 1940 (X4), 1952-S, 1954 and 1954-S;


Liberty Seated dimes (1) with: 1839 (AG);


Barber dimes (1) with: 1912 (AG); 


Liberty Seated quarters (1) with: 1854-O (AG);


Barber quarters (2) with: 1904-O (GD) and 1915-D (FN).


Barber half dollars (3): 1902 (AG+), 1907 (FR) and 1912-D (GD);


Walking Liberty half dollars (6) show VF to Au details, however all are lightly stained green at center, with: 1939, 1940, 1941, 1942, 1944 and 1945;


Franklin half dollars (2) with: 1954 (VF) and 1962 (XF+); 


Kennedy half dollars (6) average (AU to BU) with: 1964, 1964-D, 1965, 1966, 1967 and 1968; 


Commemorative half dollars (3) with: 1892 Columbian Exposition (AU); 1925 Stone Mountain (XF); and 1946-D Booker T. Washington;


Medals/Tokens (6) range (XF to BU) with: James A. Garfield Mint medal; 1901 Cincinnati Fall Festival; 1940 Roxborough/Manayunk/Wissahickon 250th Anniversary; 1967 Major General Anthony Wayne; 1968 Reading Coin Club; and Levittown Coin Club wooden nickel.
