Description

For decades there were six NHL hockey teams, and way too many minor league franchises to count. For most fans in hockey-mad Canada and across the United States, a local team was their best shot to witness live action. A great many minor league squads and their mostly unsung heroes skate into view, with this 1920s-2000s hockey program and scorecard bundle of (1,700+). These vintage gameday souvenirs were issued for small crowds, and the survival rate is relatively low. Given that their appeal and distribution was regional, and on any given day in today's market only a few are available for purchase, this vast assembly stacks up as a Herculean effort on the part of our "never say die" consignor, who managed to track down such a great number of examples. In addition to scarcity, these elderly editions boast overall pleasing condition, ranging (75% EX to NM+, 25% FR to VG-EX) with the earliest editions generally showing the most wear, though many pre-1970 programs are solid and pleasing.
