Description

Politics meets baseball with this 1960 World Series scorecard. Issued for a classic clash between the New York Yankees and the Pittsburgh Pirates, this scarce 7-1/4 x 8-1/2" scorecard has rosters and scoring grids on one side, with the legend "Vote Straight Democrat" at the bottom of the page, while the opposite side bears a photo of then Senator John F. Kennedy, along with details for two local Pittsburgh area appearances during his 1960 campaign for president. Pinholes and small tears are noted on the top border, and there is also a small tear below Kennedy's name. Despite these conditions, this seldom offered crossover collectible remains crisp and attractive in showing VG details.
