Description

After a one-year, war-era hiatus, the All Star Game was back in action at Fenway Park in 1946. Hometown hero Ted Williams made the most of his return, setting Mid-Summer Classic records with 4 hits, 2 HRs, 5 RBIs and 10 total bases. What's more, he hit the only known homer off of one of Rip Sewell's slow-arcing "eephus" pitches! All in all, it was an A.L. rout by the score of 12-0. Come October, Teddy Ballgame made his one and only World Series appearance in the Fall Classic best remembered for Enos Slaughter's "Mad Dash" home. Both Fenway Park stubs presented here feature BoSox owner Tom Yawkey's facsimile signature. All Star Game: 2-1/2" x 4", GD condition. World Series Game 5: 2-1/4" x 4", technically FR but displays nicer.
