This was MJ's first full season back with the Bulls after baseball. It was his first championship of the second three-peat. It was the greatest season in NBA history for any team. Ever. Jordan, Pippen, Rodman and company started the year with a 41-3 record, won a then-unthinkable 72 games, and dominated the postseason. If there's any season to own a signed game-issue jersey from, it's 1995/96.
According to our consignor, this beauty has been in safekeeping under lock and key since circa 1996, when he bought it out of a charity golf auction benefiting Boomer Esiason's son Gunnar, with Jim Kelly as the celebrity auctioneer. The properly tagged, pro-cut Champion jersey (size 46, body length +3, "Exclusively for Chicago Bulls") boasts Jordan's black-Sharpie "9" signature on the numeral 2. Light wear and a team notation on the interior tag. Full LOA from JSA.
