If ever a World Series was an anti-climactic afterthought, the 2004 installment played out to be just that. Sure, the Boston Red Sox ended a curse-stricken run of 85 successive torment-filled seasons, but their four-game sweep of St. Louis paled in comparison to their dramatic ALCS comeback against the hated Bronx Bombers. Encapsulated and Graded NM-MT 78 by PSA, this full ticket was issued at Fenway Park for Game 2 of that long-awaited BoSox conquest. The “Field Box” voucher features printed seating/event details, as well as team and event logos. Razor sharp edges/corners, a clean reverse and sturdy perforations are consistent with the technical grade. The hosts won, 6-2 that night as Curt Schilling overcame a torn ankle tendon to become the fifth pitcher to win World Series contests in both leagues.
